Soundstreams
Canada was founded
by Artistic Director
Lawrence
Cherney in 1982, Soundstreams Canada
commissions and presents Canadian and international
new music, generating
opportunities for dynamic encounters
among composers, performers and audiences. Their goal is
to
promote new music by creating unique and
compelling
experiences,
and fostering awareness of a growing Canadian
musical legacy.
For most concerts, Soundstreams pairs Canadian composers
with their
international colleagues, often premiering new works
written specifically
for the concert. The company also regularly
pairs Canadian and
international musicians, allowing Soundstreams
the opportunity to share and
celebrate the excellence of Canadian
artists with visiting performers.

and other unclassifiable music, run by electronic artist Anne Sulikowski.

A Portland, Oregon gallery with a special focus
on works by composers and sound installation artists as well as

Cone Gallery - Also in Phoenix, Arizona, this gallery hosts
host ambient
performers during their first Friday art walk shows.
They also have an experimental
music night every third Friday of
the month that usually includes one or more
